The Edmund Rice Education Australia - Flexible Learning Centre Network is the Registered Training Organisation for the qualification CHC42108 CERTIFICATE IV IN CAREER DEVELOPMENT

This course is specifically designed for teachers working in schools who are undertaking SET planning

The course allows participants to gain an accredited qualification and acquire the necessary skills to effectively implement SET planning process with students and work in the following areas:

  • SET planning
  • Career Information Officers
  • Career and Transition Co-ordinators
  • School Career Advisors
  • Youth Support Officers
  • Heads of Senior Schooling
  • Vocational Education and Training Co-ordinators
  • Guidance Officers
  • VET Guidance Officer in schools
  • Deputy Principal
  • Local Community Partnership staff

The course includes the following core topics:

  • Careers Development Frameworks
  • Careers theories
  • Communication Skills
  • Working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners
  • Career and Transition Services Frameworks
  • Australian Blueprint for Career Development
  • Employability Skills Framework

Participants are also required to provide a "portfolio of evidence and RPL application to be completed and presented at the workshop.

How to enrol?

Workshops are offered according to viability of numbers and the availability of physical and human resources. The EREAFLCN has a commitment to educating in a Catholic ethos. Courses will be marketed to independent schools, state schools and Catholic schools, and no teacher will be excluded from participating if human and physical resources are available.

Where.

The course is usually conducted in our training rooms at Indooroopilly however, we are able to come to any location Australia wide.

Costs.

The cost for 2010 workshops are - $1000.00.
