Queensland schools have been leading the country with VET in Schools (VETIS) programs and the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) continues to recognise this as a valid alternative education pathway for students. To provide VET courses, schools need to be Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and meet a range of requirements, mainly contained within the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

Queensland school teachers who teach VET need to have qualifications other than their teaching degree because the VET system is quite different to the schooling system and is based on a national framework. This course, TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, is the qualification required by the National Quality Council (NQC) for delivering VET.

On successful completion of all 10 units of competency (7 core and 3 electives) within the Youth+ RTO Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110), you will gain a nationally recognised qualification.

Our Clients and Entry Requirements

Only qualified teachers can successfully complete our course within the specified time as many of the components within the units of competency are gained through recognition of prior learning (RPL). All course participants will also need a sound level of computer skills as the majority of our course is computer-based and assessment is submitted electronically.

Mode of Delivery

The majority of our course is completed during a face-to-face workshop with a duration of three (3) days.

Credit Transfer or Mutual Recognition

As a requirement of the AQTF, Youth+ RTO recognises qualifications issued by other RTOs. If you have already completed one or more current TAE units with another provider you may receive credit for this on condition that you can provide evidence of this within the specified period.
